Diaspora United

Diaspora United is a women's soccer podcast that centers Black women -- as players, fans, and storytellers -- in coverage of the global game. Hosted by André, the show spans the NWSL, the USWNT, the WSL, international tournaments, and the cultural conversations that tie it all together. André brings a sharp, opinionated voice to matches, transfers, team dynamics, and the political undercurrents that shape how women's soccer is covered and consumed. The show does not treat Black players as secondary to the larger narrative -- they are the lens through which the sport is understood. Episodes feature co-hosts and guests including regulars from Shea Butter FC, and cover everything from NWSL midseason analysis to World Athletics controversies to the tactical decisions driving major clubs. The conversation moves between informed commentary and unfiltered fan reaction, with André's humor and cultural fluency giving the podcast a distinct voice in a crowded sports media space. For fans of women's soccer who want coverage that does not sanitize the sport or flatten its complexity, Diaspora United offers analysis and community rooted in a perspective that has long been underrepresented in mainstream sports media.
